System for the whole house

A desert-modern home in metropolitan Phoenix at dusk

Who we are

A local studio for the technology you actually live with.

Electronic Home Designs started in 2005, serving metropolitan Phoenix and beyond. We plan, provide, and integrate the systems that make a house feel considered — entertainment, lighting, networks, and control — so the architecture stays in charge.

The work is turnkey: we sit with you, write a proposal that fits the budget and the rooms, then install, program, and stay. Experienced in the trade since 1993, the goal is still the same. Your satisfaction is the point.

Phoenix, Scottsdale, Paradise Valley, Tempe, Mesa, Chandler, Gilbert, and the Valley beyond.

Home automation

One button. The whole atmosphere.

Shades that drop before the sun hits the art. Hall lights that come on when you walk through at night. A room that already has the temperature, the lighting, and the music when you sit down. Luxury homes do not need more gadgets. They need one system that already knows the house.

We partner with manufacturers that last — Crestron, Control4, and Lutron — and specify what fits the architecture, not a brand list.

What we do

From the rack to the remote.

Planning, providing, and integrating technology for the home — cinema, lighting, high-speed networks, and everything that has to speak to everything else.

Home automation

One system for lighting, climate, shades, music, and cinema. Scenes that match how you actually live — not a pile of apps.

Private cinema

Dedicated theaters and media rooms designed for the room, not the brochure. Calibration, acoustics, and control that disappear.

Whole-home audio

Music where you want it, at the level you want it, without speakers competing with the architecture.

Lighting & shades

Layered lighting and motorized shades on a professional keypad. Morning, evening, away — the house sets itself.

Networks & Wi-Fi

The backbone everything else depends on. Structured wiring, enterprise-grade wireless, and a closet you can service.

Cameras & security

Discreet cameras, door stations, and alerts that belong in the same interface as the rest of the house.

How it looks

Quiet rooms. Serious infrastructure.

The visible pieces should feel like millwork. The closet should look like a shop that can be serviced ten years from now.

How we do it

Consult. Specify. Integrate. Stay.

  1. 01

    Listen

We start with how you live, the architecture, and the budget — then choose products that fit all three.

  2. 02

    Specify

A written proposal with drawings where they matter. Nothing is a surprise on install day.

  3. 03

    Integrate

We schedule, pull cable, mount, program, and calibrate. Then we walk you through until it feels obvious.

  4. 04

    Stay

Systems age. Firmware moves. After-sale support is part of the work — not an afterthought.

Questions

Straight answers.

New construction or retrofit?+

Both. Pre-wire on a new build is cleaner and cheaper; we also upgrade finished homes without tearing them apart.

Do you service systems you did not install?+

Often, yes — especially Crestron, Control4, and Lutron. We will tell you honestly if a takeover is not worth it.

How long does a project take?+

A lighting keypad and a few rooms can be days. A dedicated cinema or whole-home system is typically weeks of coordination, not months of mystery.

Where do you work?+

The Valley is home base — Scottsdale, Paradise Valley, Phoenix, Tempe, Mesa, Chandler, Gilbert, and surrounding communities. We also work on and service your other homes across the country and beyond.
